At Hawk Host, we’ve been offering Redis and Memcached instances to all customers since 2015. The offering was very simple, allowing you to run your own Redis or Memcached instance that only your account can access using a secure unix socket. Our team recently completed a small refresh to bring a few new features to our offering.
For both Redis and Memcached, you can now set the memory limit to anywhere between 128MB and 1024MB (1GB). For the vast majority of users, our default 128MB is more than sufficient, but we understand that in some cases, more memory is desirable. You will just need to keep in mind that, as before, your Redis/Memcached usage counts against your total account CPU and Memory usage.

For Redis, we’ve added the ability to view detailed statistics for your instance directly in cPanel. The same information could previously be retrieved manually using redis-cli, but we saw no reason we could not also provide a simple method directly in cPanel.

If you have any suggestions for new features or improvements to existing features, we encourage you to reach out to our team. We’ll evaluate adding your suggestions to our roadmap.
