Hawk Host and Let's Encrypt: Four Years Strong

We’re incredibly happy to say we’ve continued our official sponsorship of Let’s Encrypt for another year! This is our fourth consecutive year sponsoring Let’s Encrypt, and for those of you not familiar with the name, Let’s Encrypt is the non-profit certificate authority that helps us secure all your websites for free. With over 200 million sites secured by Let’s Encrypt they’re making the internet a far safer place for all of us.

We’ve continued our sponsorship of Let’s Encrypt as we strongly believe in their mission and it’s important to us we support projects aiming to make the world a safer place for all of us online. As a hosting provider we can directly further that goal by providing all clients and their sites the ability to automatically, and without cost, receive an SSL certificate for any website hosted from our network. It doesn’t matter whether you’re running an e-commerce shop or just a casual blog for a small audience, keeping your visitors data encrypted whenever possible is a goal we should all aim for. Let’s Encrypt makes that possible and we’re happy to contribute to their efforts.

Similar to years past Let’s Encrypt has seen remarkable growth and adoption rates, securing over 200 million sites. As of February 2020 they’ve issued over ONE BILLION certificates. No, that’s not a typo. They continue to post annual report which has some really cool insights, future goals, and even more detailed statistics about Let’s Encrypt usage.
