Non-cPanel ELevate options (WHM Transfer Tool)

The WHM Transfer Tool allows you to move data between two cPanel systems running different operating systems. It provides a safer alternative to in-place ELevate upgrades when migrating from an end-of-life OS to a supported one. However, this method requires purchasing a new compute and will result in an IP address change.

Our billing team will provide a pro-rated account credit for unused time on your old compute once the migration is complete and a cancellation request is submitted.

Hawk Host-assisted migration

If you’d like our team to handle the migration:

1. Purchase a new compute with cPanel/WHM at hawkhost.com/cloud-vps and build it with a supported operating system.
2. Open a support ticket requesting migration assistance. Include the root passwords for both the old and new computes.
3. Our team will review the request and advise on the estimated timeline. If desired, we can schedule the migration for a specific date and time so you can coordinate IP/DNS changes.
4. Once complete, our team will suspend the old compute to ensure the migration is verified.
5. Submit a cancellation request for the old compute to receive your pro-rated account credit.
