How do I use EasyApache in WHM?

EasyApache is a utility built into cPanel/WHM for managing your PHP/Apache configuration. It is commonly used to add extensions/modules, upgrade PHP versions, or modify server settings. While EasyApache can also be accessed via CLI (/scripts/easyapache/), this guide covers the WHM web interface.

Access EasyApache

1. Log in to WHM at https://your-compute-ip:2087 using the credentials from your welcome email.

2. Use the search bar in the top left to find EasyApache 4 and click it:

   

Configure and build

3. Next to Currently Installed Packages, click the Customize button:

   

4. WHM will guide you through configuring your Apache version, mode, PHP version(s), PHP extensions, custom software, and build settings.

5. After completing the configuration, the build process will begin. This can take up to 30 minutes depending on the number of changes and available resources on your compute.
