Is SPA (Secure Password Authentication) Enabled on Hosting Services?

SPA (Secure Password Authentication) is a proprietary Microsoft protocol used with the Outlook email client. As SPA is proprietary to Microsoft and is not widely adopted, Hawk Host does not offer SPA support on our shared, reseller, or semi-dedicated hosting services.

We recommend that clients use SSL/TLS authentication when configuring their email clients. This provides secure, encrypted connections for sending and receiving email without requiring the proprietary SPA protocol.
