How do I use my own nameservers?

Custom (private/vanity) nameservers are available for all reseller hosting plans. This allows you to use branded nameservers like ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com instead of the default Hawk Host nameservers.

Setting up custom nameservers

1. Register your custom nameservers (also called “glue records” or “child nameservers”) through your domain registrar using the following IP addresses:

   Nameserver	IP Address
   ns1.yourdomain.com	198.252.96.180
   ns2.yourdomain.com	198.252.97.180

2. Once the nameservers are registered at your registrar, you can assign them to any domain hosted under your reseller account.

Caution

The registration process for glue records varies by registrar. Check your registrar’s documentation for instructions on creating child nameservers. Changes may take up to 24–48 hours to propagate globally.
