My Website Has Been Blocked. What Do I Do?
If you suspect your website or IP address has been blocked behind a firewall and you can no longer access your site, follow these troubleshooting steps before contacting support.
Troubleshooting Steps
Section titled “Troubleshooting Steps”-
Test from another network — Try accessing your site through a proxy service or from a different ISP (for example, using mobile data). The issue may be a temporary routing or network problem.
-
Ask someone else to test — Have a friend, colleague, or associate on a different network try to access the site and compare their results to yours.
-
Run a traceroute — Perform a traceroute from your computer to your site to see where the connection fails. This can help identify whether the issue is on your end, with your ISP, or at the server level.
-
Check if your IP is blocked — Our Imunify360 firewall may temporarily block IP addresses that trigger security rules (such as too many failed login attempts). You can try adding your IP to the whitelist through cPanel.
