Why does my servers SWAP show at 100%

Our shared, reseller, and semi-dedicated hosting plans run on CloudLinux, which uses a SWAP partition for memory (RAM) management. When a portion of memory has been idle for an extended period, the operating system moves it to SWAP so that additional RAM can be used for the I/O cache. This is normal behavior used by most modern operating systems and will occur even when the system has available unused RAM.

No. You can safely disregard the SWAP usage displayed in cPanel/WHM. This behavior is by design and has no impact on your individual account or website performance.

cPanel displays a warning about SWAP usage, but this is a cosmetic alert that doesn’t reflect an actual problem on CloudLinux-based servers.
