Email Attachment Size Limit
All our web hosting servers have an email message size limit of 50 MB. That limit applies to both message content and attachments. In our experience, due to the way attachments are encoded, those over 30 MB typically reach our 50 MB message limit.
We will be unable to increase this limit, as most email providers have limits that prevent us from delivering to them, even if our limit were higher. Here are a few of the most popular email provider limits:
- Gmail: 25 MB
- Google Workspace: 50 MB
- Yahoo: 25 MB
- Outlook/Hotmail: 25 MB
- Microsoft 365: 150 MB (default 25 MB)
- Proton Mail: 50 MB
We recommend compressing files if possible and, if they still exceed our limits, using a file-sharing service to send larger attachments.
