Email deliverability: Valid records, DNS errors and timeouts

The cPanel Email Deliverability page may display incorrect status due to a variety of issues, such as querying too many domains or general interface timeouts. Hawk Host by default and typical cPanel configurations automatically add the following records:

  • DKIM
  • DMARC
  • SPF
  • Reverse DNS (PTR)

In addition, Hawk Host does not use the server’s primary IP address, the shared website IP address, or a dedicated IP address to send email. We maintain dedicated outgoing email devices with Reverse DNS (PTR) setup.

You may see the following error or similar on the Email Deliverability page when viewing it for the first time:

When clicking manage on a domain, you may also see similar errors indicating that specific records are failing validation. For example, the DMARC record is not validating:

You may be able to refresh this page, and it may confirm that all records validate, or another record no longer validates. You can confirm records exist by using the Zone Editor directly.

If you are unsure if your records are valid you can contact our support team and ask them to verify your records by email or via a ticket .

Unfortunately, the issue with the interface is due to a cPanel bug, and we have no estimate for when it will be resolved.
