Installing SquirrelMail with Softaculous

Softaculous enables one-click installations of SquirrelMail through cPanel, giving you a web-based email client on your server.

How to Install SquirrelMail with Softaculous

1. Log in to your hosting account’s cPanel and use the search bar to find “Softaculous” or navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer under the Software section

   

2. Click the Softaculous Apps Installer icon that appears. You will be redirected to the Softaculous interface.

3. You can use the search bar to find “SquirrelMail”.

   

4. You will be presented with your installation options, including your installation URL.

   1. Set Protocol to https:// for a secure environment.
   2. Set domain to your desired domain.
   3. Set Install Directory to the path where you want to install SquirrelMail (e.g., webmail). If you wish for SquirrelMail to load on your main domain, leave the directory blank.

5. Scroll down and you will have the option to configure your site and mail server settings.

   1. Set the site name.
   2. Set the IMAP server address, port, and TLS/SSL option.
   3. Set the SMTP server address, port, and TLS/SSL option.

6. The installation should only take two to three minutes to complete. Once completed, you will see a page showing the message “Congratulations, the software was installed successfully”.
