Installing WebMail Lite with Softaculous

Softaculous enables one-click installations of WebMail Lite through cPanel, giving you a web-based email client on your server.

How to Install WebMail Lite with Softaculous

1. Log in to your hosting account’s cPanel and use the search bar to find “Softaculous” or navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer under the Software section

   

2. Click the Softaculous Apps Installer icon that appears. You will be redirected to the Softaculous interface.

3. You can use the search bar to find “WebMail Lite”.

   

4. You will be presented with your installation options, including your installation URL.

   1. Set Protocol to https:// for a secure environment.
   2. Set domain to your desired domain.
   3. Set Install Directory to the path where you want to install WebMail Lite (e.g., webmail). If you wish for WebMail Lite to load on your main domain, leave the directory blank.

5. Scroll down and you will have the option to configure your mail server, site settings, and login credentials.

   1. Set the incoming and outgoing mail server addresses, ports, and SSL options.
   2. Set the site name.
   3. Set the admin username and password. We recommend using a strong, unique password.

6. The installation should only take two to three minutes to complete. Once completed, you will see a page showing the message “Congratulations, the software was installed successfully”.
