Installing The Bug Genie with Softaculous

Softaculous enables one-click installations of The Bug Genie through cPanel, which takes less than five minutes to complete.

How to Install The Bug Genie with Softaculous

1. Log in to your hosting account’s cPanel and use the search bar to find “Softaculous” or navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer under the Software section

   

2. Click the Softaculous Apps Installer icon that appears. You will be redirected to the Softaculous interface.

3. You can use the search bar to find “The Bug Genie”.

   

4. You will be presented with your installation options, including your installation URL.

   1. Set Protocol to https:// for a secure environment.
   2. Set domain to your desired domain.
   3. Set Install Directory to the path where you want to install The Bug Genie (e.g., bugs). If you wish for The Bug Genie to load on your main domain, leave the directory blank.

5. Configure your admin account.

   1. Set the admin username, password, first name, last name, and email. We recommend using a strong, unique password.

6. The installation should only take two to three minutes to complete. Once completed, you will see a page showing the message “Congratulations, the software was installed successfully”.
